DAY 1: SOFIA - Dinner

Arrival in Sofia.Transfer and accommodation at  4 star hotel. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

 

DAY 2: SOFIA - RILA MONASTERY - SANDANSKI – F/B

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of the capital. Departure for Sandanski via Rila monastery – the most important in Bulgaria, included in the list of the world cultural heritage of UNESCO. Visit of the monastery and lunch. Proceeding for Sandanski. Arrival and accommodation at Inter hotel Sandanski - 4 star hotel.  Dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 3: SANDANSKI - ROZHEN MONASTERY - MELNIK - BANSKO – PLOVDIV- F/B

Breakfast. Departure for Plovdiv via Rozhen monastery and Melnik. Sightseeing of the monastery complex and also the museum town nearby, which is famous for its original architecture. Proceeding for Plovdiv with stop for a lunch in the museum town of Bansko. Arrival and accommodation at  4 star hotel .  Dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 4: PLOVDIV- BACHKOVO MONASTERY - KAZANLAK - ETARA – DRYANOVO MONASTERY- VELIKO TARNOVO- F/B

Breakfast. Sightseeing of the Old town of Plovdiv - beautiful houses from the Bulgarian national Revival period, an ancient Roman theatre and fortification. Departure for Veliko Tarnovo via Bachkovo monastery – the second by importance in Bulgaria. Visit of the monastery, lunch and proceeding for Veliko Tarnovo. In the afternoon - a visit of the unique museum of Bulgarian architecture and crafts on open air - Etara, and also the Dryanovo monastery. Arrival in Veliko Tarnovo and accommodation at  4 star hotel.  Dinner and overnight.

 

DAY 5: VELIKO TARNOVO - TROYAN MONASTERY – SOFIA- F/B

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo - the capital of the Second  Bulgarian State. Visit of the medieval fortress with the patriarchal church and the Baldwin tower, and also "Assenova mahala” quarter with the preserved churches from 12 – 13th century. Departure for Sofia. On the way a visit of the Trojan monastery - notable for its wonderful murals painted by the famous Bulgarian artist Zahari Zograf. Lunch and proceeding for Sofia. Arrival and accommodation at 4**** hotel.  Farewell folk show & dinner.Overnight.

 

DAY 6: SOFIA - Breakfast

Breakfast. Time at leisure. Transfer to Sofia airport for the home flight.
