DAY 1: SOFIA - Dinner

Arrival in Sofia. Guide meets the group at the Airport. Transfer and accommodation at Hotel - 4 star. Overnight.

DAY 2: SOFIA – KAZANLAK – VELIKO TARNOVO – F/B

Breakfast. Departure for the museum town of Veliko Tarnovo via Rose Valley. On the way a visit of Kazanlak Tomb - the best - preserved monument of the Thracian art from 4^th - 3rd century BC. The Tomb is not large, but it inspires the imagination with its beautiful ornaments and murals. Lunch in Gabrovo town. Arrival in Veliko Tarnovo and accommodation at 4 star hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: VELIKO TARNOVO – IVANOVO ROCK CHURCHES – VELIKO TARNOVO– F/B

Breakfast. Sightseeing the Bulgarian Medieval capital city. Lunch.Trip to the Ivanovo Rock Churches and cells with a 13th and 14^th century murals of great artistic interest - duged into the rock high above the picturesque canyon of the Roussenski Lom river. Drive back to Veliko Tarnovo. Dinner, and overnight.

DAY 4: VELIKO TARNOVO – MADARA HORSEMAN – SHOUMEN – F/B

Breakfast. Departure for the town of Shoumen. On the way a visit of a unique for Europe bas-relief, carved out of the sheer rock - Madara Horseman (8th century). Arrival in Shoumen and accommodation at Shoumen Hotel - 3 star hotel. Time at leisure. Dinner, and overnight.

DAY 5: SHOUMEN – NESSEBAR – SHOUMEN – F/B

Breakfast. Trip to Nessebar - the museum town preserves the ruins of more than 40 medieval churches with murals and carvings, ceramic ornaments with lunch. Drive back to Shoumen. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: SHOUMEN – PLOVDIV – F/B

Breakfast. Drive to the town of Plovdiv – the Bulgarian second largest. Arrival and accommodation at 4 star hotel. Lunch. Sightseeing of the Old Town - a reserve of Bulgarian National Revival architecture. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: PLOVDIV – RILA MONASTERY – SOFIA – F/B

Breakfast. Departure for Sofia. On the way a visit of the Rila monastery – situated in the heart of Rila Mountain. It’s the most famous monument of Bulgarian culture from the National Revival period. Lunch. Proceeding for Sofia. Arrival and accommodation at hotel. Folk show and dinner. Overnight.

DAY 8: SOFIA- Breakfast

Breakfast. City tour of the Bulgarian capital with a visit of the Boyana Church (on Vitosha mountain), dated 1259 and known for its 13th century murals - famous for their exceptional realism. Afternoon transfer to the Airport for the home flight.
