Arrival in Sofia.
Transfer and accommodation at Hotel 4 ****. Dinner in the hotel.

2: SOFIA
– VITOSHA MOUNTAIN- SOFIA- F/B
Breakfast. City tour of Sofia. The sight seeing of Sofia passes trough the Alexander Nevsky
memorial cathedral and 5th century St. Sofia church that gave the
city name and which is featured in the capital’s coat –of –arms. The
archeological excavations and the 4th century
St.
George rotunda – the only preserved monument from early Byzantine
times, are of particular interest. Drive to
VitoshaMountain for lunch. Visit
to the MorenyStoneRiver.
Back to Sofia.
Dinner in the hotel. Overnight.

3: SOFIA
– RILA MONASTERY – PLOVDIV- F/B
Breakfast. Departure for Plovdiv via Rila Monastery – the biggest
spiritual and literature center of the Bulgarian revival period.
Lunch in Rila. Proceeding to
Plovdiv. Accommodation atHotel 4****. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight.

4: PLOVDIV- F/B
Breakfast. Half day City tour of Plovdiv
– the successor of the old Thracian settlement of Eumolpia and sight
seeing including a visit of the Ethnographic museum and the old part
of Plovdiv, now an
architectural museum reserve and the Roman theater. Lunch. Free
time. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight.
DAY
5: PLOVDIV
– BACHKOVO MONASTERY – PLOVDIV- F/B
Breakfast. Trip to Bachkovo Monastery, built in 1038 by the
Bakuryani brothers from
Georgia. The monastery contains a
rich library and museum collection. It is the second by importance
in Bulgaria.
Lunch. Back to Plovdiv.
Free time. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
DAY
6: PLOVDIV
– KOPRIVSHTITSA – SOFIA- F/B
Breakfast. Departure to Koprivshtitsa – a museum town rich of the
typical Bulgarian architectural heritage. Lunch.Proceeding to Sofia. Accommodation at hotel 4****. Farewell
dinner with folklore shows. Overnight.

7: SOFIA- Breakfast
Breakfast. Transfer to the SofiaAirport
for departure.
